To Barbara Boxer--Rebuilding In harmony with Nature 17 y
A response to Barbara Boxer
on the Wildfires
Dear Barbara,
I appreciate your concern and attention to our Wildfire natural disaster.
I want to understore that we were living as a natural diaster waiting to happen
here in So Cal.
This is indicated by an item in the news where a high scale developing
that promotes security was not burned althought the fires came within
100 feet of the homes that were consciously landscaped.
We are one of the few areas in the US where it is possible to
institute a program of authentic earth based home land security.
This will involve Land Use that created tended local organic farm lan ... read more

To the Members of the San Diego Jewish Community,
In light of the events of the past week, we encourage you to join other community members tonight and/or tomorrow for prayer, study and Shabbat celebration. It will be an opportunity to show solidarity with those who have lost their homes, and to draw spiritual strength and emotional support after this traumatic personal and communal experience.
Below is a list of local congregations; we are grateful that none of their buildings sustained damage in the fire. Everybody is welcome to attend services ... read more

A want to convert some of my layouts that are not printing

I was fumbling around for 30 minutes attempting
to figure out a really simple thing, how to draw a ellispe

I could do this intuitively in my old Photoshop Elements Program,
but this new Photoshop Elements 4.0 is foreign to me.
I called Adobe.

The wait was forth it.

I got this message from Katherine Torres this morning and wanted to pass it on.......
Good Morning:
Of course, the entire world knows of the fires in So. California (even my daughter in Istanbul, Turkey has been hearing of it on the News.). A friend of one of my grandson’s is in dire need of help. Richard Varshock, 16 years old, and his father, Tom, were trying to help firemen save their home in Petrero, CA (near Tecate, MX). His mother, Diane, had gone into town for evacuation. At some point the firetruck blew up. The father, was killed. Richard received 60% burns. ... read more

Wind Damaged Summer Squash + greens =donation 17 y
Phil and Juany Noble
have summer squash-Veggies to donate.
No takers yet at the shelters.
Checking in on some of my farmer friends.
Phil and Juany Noble had about $20.000 in damages.
Mainly it was wind damage.
Lots of seedlings pulled from the ground.
One structure destroyed.
He has a bunch of wind damaged summer squash+ other foods.
He wanted to donate it to those less fortunate.
He is also hoping the people who come to the Sunday Hillcrest Farmers’ Market
will give him some understanding when it comes to buying some of his
produce that has been hurt by the winds that whipped up the fires.

Amazing how we forget the pains of yesterday.
I had shooting pains down into my feet
for maybe six months last year.
Had lots of accupuncture.
The pains just kinda faded away until
I no longer remembered I had them.
Maybe that is in part how healing happens.
We forget the pain and move on with our life.
That is, until we go over the top again
with the same habits that open us up to the same
conditions.
I do believe we can influence our health.
Conditions are not some outside attack.
They are generally invited in by letting down our

Hello All,
Here are a few notes in my head re: herbs for lungs.
Lotus root tea or congee(made by cooking lotus root into a porridge) has
worked very well for me in the past.
During and after the fires of 2003 Jimbos stores herb dept, were giving
aware and herbal formula that worked very well. it was FREE.

space for farm land
as we rebuild?
I heard the President was in San Diego today.
I heard he was going to speak at Qualcomm Stadium
about ten minutes away.
Now, Paris tells me is just doing a fly by.
If I were the President,
I wouldn’t want to land either.
The air is too bad.
He might look funny in a gasmask.
Maybe we all need gasmasks now.
We have been burning a lot of bad stuff in these fires
mixed with all the natural stuff.
It is time to look at what we are using for building materials.
It is time to rebuild in harmony with nature.
It would be good to leave a little space for farm land. ... read more

I have been getting deep messages for
well over a month about the necessity
to make Lifestyle Changes.
My left hand has been hurting for
about ten weeks. It may be tendons.
It may have something to do with arthritic
pains coming in. The pain and stiffness
appears to be computer related.
It also appears to be diet related.
I have been focused on the preparing to do
the Pacific Symposium ’07.
We are in fires here in San Diego.

I have been staying close to home the last four days.
I did a lot of work here on the Pacific Symposium.
I went out today for about one hour.
I drove down to City Farmers Nursery.
The air quality was so bad I could not stay there,
even in the nursery.
The air quality in my room feel worse that outside on the porch.
There are large trees out there.
It is amazing how the plants around here seem to transform the air,
especially the large trees.
