fourth milestone
Date: 1/23/2006 12:40:03 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2679 times i made it to the half way mark. unbelievable. 15 days gone and 15 pounds too, i wieghed in today. it sounds so silly though because 15 days is not much but for me -and my family it has been a long long long 15 days. and i have mangaed to bitch and moan most of my way thru it, unlike me i am usually a very positive happy person. but it is a hard thing to do to give up food. i do feel very ungreatful though.. god i am choosing not to eat because i overate and there are so many in this world who have no food...no choice. i want to learn to live with less consume less. i am not a materialistic person and dont need lots of nice things but i still have too much. so i am going to really try to eat less when i am off this diet and be better with my usage of food so i throw out less. we give alot to our dog (who is fed better than many humans)..and we sponsor a child that makes us feel a little better but i think we can do more so that is another goal of mine -to do more. gee this fast is creating a to do list!
yesterday i managed 2 juices, some lemonade and some veggie broth, herbal tea and water. i started out this fast having 6 juices per day and only water but that just wasnt working for me. today i made a veggie and a fruit juice but could not bring myself to drink the veggie juice. i will try again later today but i think the broth is much better for me. i know this is not as good as the juice but one thing i have learnt i have to do what works for me.
i had two main objectives when i started this one was weight loss (main one) and intestinal cleasing. i am not hungry at all and still losing weight. but my BM's are down to 2 per day which is not really going to help clean out my insides. i have eliminated many toxins from my body and feel pretty darn good so i this will have to do for me. i think to get rid of all that crap (excuse the pun) out of my system i would really have to go heavy on the lax's. which just does not work for me. at the moment i am taking pshysillium husk capsules (couldnt get the powder mixed in water down without throwing up) and drinking approx 2 cups of smooth move herbal tea per day. this is my combination that works for me. i still look into the toilet bowl hopeing that something disgusting will show up but it is pretty ordinary really. so i may have to hold off on the true cleaning out for another fast. this one now is all about the weight and any cleaning that does occur is just a bonus. i sound like i have a real weak stomach which is was not the case prior to this diet - i had an iron gut and was never sick but for some reason my stomach is particularly sensitive during this fast???? not sure what that is any comments will be taken on board.
