Day 6 & 7
yeah second milestone..one week fasting
Date: 1/11/2010 1:10:27 PM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 2320 times yesterday i woke up feeling great, i kept waking up during the night but instead of tossing and turning i could go back to sleep easily. i went for a long walk which was really good. one thing that is not so great is i am in a bad mood. not when i am by myself but around my family. to be honest it is hard, they are all doing exactly what they normally do, which is what i expected, but i gotta say it is hard being around. i feel like escaping from normal activities and protecting myself. i would love to go on a month retreat to fast where everyone is doing the same thing. one day i will be in a position to do this but right now my reality is a family that is going about there daily routine as usual. i know it gets easier as time goes on but right now its tricky. but i really want to do this for myself so i will try to be better but at the same time i am going to do what gets me thru. i still dont feel up to heavy exercise but tonight i am going to try the treadmill or maybe a run outside if its not too cold.
here is the list of things i like to do and havent being doing:
-exercising, i like going for long walks in different places, around lakes, along trails, on the beach, i would like to hike in the hills, along a river, i would like to go cannoing
-camping, i love to go camping and incorporate some activity into it
-festivals, i would like to go to different festivals that are happening in houston, make the most out of living in a city, maybe go to a play or comedy show every now and then
-go out! maybe try a new restaurant once in while, go see a movie, try a new bar
Its not that huge a list really and most are very easy to do. It's just about doing them. We get so bogged down in what our kids have got on or just lose the motivation to do something new. Being at home is too easy too comfortable...but it is also not so good for the soul to be doing the same things over and over again. so time to shake it up a little!!
More fasting info - i have not incorporated veggie juice into my diet yet..mmmm..i know i gotta work on it. bm's have stopped so last night i took some oxy powder. this usually takes a day or so to kick in so hopefully will see some action. still mainly water, apple and orange juice and herbal teas. today will be mc lemonade and juice tonight.
i am missing food a little and having strange cravings - i want a breakfast burrito and ravioli - and soup...mmm veggie soup!!! i also feel like something sweet. occasionally i will have a little dob of agave nectar on a spoon and that seems to work.
oh i am in pants i couldnt wear a week ago, they are tight and dont look so good but at least its getting better and not worse. looking forward to next week when they might actually fit!
