Hi Glax, thank-you very much for posting those. I have others which are even more bizarr. The "cover slip" is the little thin sqaure glass that sits on top of the specimen on the bigger glass thingy.
The specimen "was not from direct body fluid specimen". This was obtained from a process of purifying gut e-coli bacteria, and transfering filtered specimen to water in test tube. Bio-films result, which is what e-coli make when in hostile environment. Biofilms are like plaque.
The weird fiber-like things emerge from those biofilms, and morph into several forms. Some of these forms go on to develope into higher organisms, and others into plant-like structures. The crystals are a mystery, but I assume it is because of the "synthetic nature" of this organism--chemicals. Shroom Tweet
