My mother and step father were really irresponsible. I was put in the same position as you. My mother only cared about her own life and sexual exploits and didn't give a hoot about me and my siblings except for the baby sister who happens to be the favorite. Yet I don't care about that because I'm not close to my mother and can't stand her even to this day.
