Speaking of gloves. Since being aware of parasites a friend of mine from Asia made a very interesting comment about glove wearing. He figured that when servers wear gloves the original purpose may have been to protect dinner guests from mirco-organisms on their hands. As we know, back then hygiene wasn't the greatest and the problem still exists!
