I had the HerpeSelect test done and that is almost always true plus my value was greater that 3.5 so I am not hoping, I'm coping ...Life is not fair and you are right statistics should be on our side but as one smart person told me once there is no such a rule.. Yes, you could have picked up genital HSV1 via oral sex. Make sure that you follow up with blood work or that the culture test you had can differentiate between the two monsters (HSV1 and HSV2) and at this point I would do a complete STD panel.
