Re: Lipase destroyed by heating
Yes, thanks for pointing that out, and for that really GREAT article! I especially appreciated the practical how-to info he included toward the end.
I believe
juicing or eating raw is definitely the best way to get enzymes into our systems. And for those who are interested, sprouts are the most enzyme rich foods. You can grow sprouts in a tray in your window seal. Wheatgrass is one of the best and most common enzyme rich sprouts.
Some more information for the cursory reader:
A lipase defficiency is often diagnosed "Familial lipoprotein lipase deficiency." Some of the other manifestations of this condition are; diabetes, obesity, skin disorders, pancreatitus, congestive heart failure, and digestion problems. It is said to be a "genetic" disorder in which the pancreas fails to supply lipoprotein lipase to break down fats. Not being able to break down the fats you eat, the body tries to store them or excrete them as toxins.
Liver congestion, and gallbladder inflammation may also be related to this Lipase enzyme defficiency. I believe this is the case for me.
An extra:
After doing this research, I am of the opinion that many so-called "allergies" are simply an enzyme defficiency of one sort or the other. If you suffer from an allergy, whole body cleansing, and then enzyme supplementation for the specific allergen, may solve your problem.
