Fluoride and Baking Soda


Hey, I just read your post about baking soda and fluoride.  You were right on both counts.  baking soda is abrasive and can wear enamel and cause sensitivity for some people.  Baking soda can also act as a very mild abrasive cleaner perfect for removing stains from sinks, counter tops and even fine chinaSome people do ok with it, but I wouldn't chance it.  The fluoride is ok topically and has actually been proven to harden teeth (but it was a higher concentration than toothpaste and had to remain on the teeth for a period of time).  The toothpaste I use has fluoride.  Here is more info:
