Re: Oil Pulling - interesting
I'm here to answer any questions you may have about it!!LOL
OK, I'm the oily goddess, but seriously Dr. S, it's amazing.
I had a friend of my Dad's look into it. He's a chemical biologist turned health nut. He believes that there are bacteria that forms in the mouth that regular antiseptic mouthwash cannot kill. It seems to be attracted to the acids in oil. (He's now doing it everyday too, I might add).
By removing this hard to rid of bacteria first thing in the morning, you can mitigate flushing it into the system and causing more damage. As we well know, bacteria in your mouth causes a whole host of problems internally, a la Price, et al.
Also, it seems to stimulate the mucous membranes. Many have been purging a ton of mucus from their sinuses as well as lungs (me included). I no longer have allergies, or should I say, the allergy symptoms I used to have.
It also increases the amount of saliva, which as you know is very healing. People with dry mouth can end up with so many dental problems because they are missing that saliva.
There is no doubt that you are also absorbing oil sublingually, so for those that do not, swish, eat or wear oil, they are getting a huge kick. But you are already aware of the bodies need for EFA's.
If you add Oil of Oregano (natures broad spectrum anti-biotic) to the pull, you are very efficiently killing really nasty stuff. People that had infections find relief doing this...and quite a few have avoided root canals, gum surgery, etc after a mere month of pulling.
Coconut oil is amazing for a pull, and seems to cause more effects than any other oil.
Me? I have found that a tbsp of coconut oil, with a dash of cloves and peppermint is like eating dessert first thing in the morning. Yuuuummmmmyyyy.
One of our CZers took microscopic imaging of some of the stuff that came out of his mouth after a pull. Let's just say, it's not stuff you would want to continue growing or propagating.
So Dr. Sutter, I think you'd be amazed if you visit our little forum and read the testimonials. And if you can come up with any interesting views of this therapy, we would be overjoyed and all ears. Very little has been written about this, and when it has, is either in Russian or texts from India.
Anyway, that was more than my 2 cents....I think I got you at 2 bucks. Thanks for listening.
