I cycle carbs during the last half of contest prep. It's usually a high complex carb meal twice a week (about 700-800 calories, nothing like Ori's 3000!). I've heard a lot of talk about a two or three day fruit and whey fast, but haven't really looked much into it.
I think I've read here that you do bodybuilding, too? Have you tried this program with a tough cardio/lifting schedule? I'm an endo-mesomorph, so my body can handle some fasting without tearing itself apart, but just from contest dieting at around 1700 calories - it was tough to stay focused mentally and perform physically.
