Yes, the Western Blot for herpes is considered the "Gold Standard" for herpes antibody tests. It's only performed at the University of Washington due to its complexity, but is available to doctors and clinics anywhere. The thing that sets this test apart from the typical herpes IgG test such as the HerpeSelect is that it tests for a broader range of enzymes that relate to the various antibodies.
