Re: Wheatgrass is NOT good for PEOPLE.
This is an important discussion for 2 reasons:
First...You need to know that clean wheatgrass juice actually tastes good and does not make you get a headache, dizzy, nauseated or vomit. Moldy wheatgrass can do all of these things and more.
The problem is that most wheatgrass juice available is grown from seed that contains fungi (a common problem related to how it is stored). When this seed is used in hot growing environments (indoor trays and greenhouses in particular), the wheat grass gets infected with mold. Mold produces mycotoxins which do all kinds of crazy things to people. The solution to the problem is quite simple...grow outdoors in an environment that features cool nights.
Second...You can't just replace wheatgrass juice with chlorophyll. No one understands the mechanics of wheatgrass juice, they just keep observing that it works for people. Chlorophyll appears to have some unique properties, but it seems anything extracted from food products loses a lot along the way.
Stick with the wheatgrass juice, just find yourself a clean source. Trust your body, if it tastes terrible and makes you feel terrible, that wheatgrass juice should be avoided.
