Well Shelley I hafta say that I have never read anything regarding plant toxins, anti nutrients etc in regards to wheatgrass juice but then again I haven't read everything .....yet ;+D. What I do know is that I have done with and without WG and I definetly function better have more energy etc when I do my daily 2
oz dose. Can you point me to some references regarding the toxins, anti nutrients etc in wg.
I understand the principle of digestion in grass eating(rumiants sp?) animals but on the same token these animals eat the "whole grass" which is mostly fiber and which definetly takes a whole lot more breaking down by the digestive system thus the more complex multiple stomach GI track in animals.
juicing the grass same as
juicing veggies eliminates the need for the digestive system to break down the fibers to extract the juice/nutrients from any vegatable matter rendering the vaggie matter much more digestible and the body is also able to use a much greater amount on the available nutrients.
Could any benefits of wheatgrass juice be more dpendent on body type than a general blanket statement "They are NOT good for humans"?
