I agree with the thrust of your post about what constitutes quackery, but then there are many unexplained healings that Science has not been able to ratify.
A friend of mine witnessed a miraculous healing in the church he runs as a priest within the protestant tradition, which his regular physicians could not explain, even after taking into account the placebo effect, as the patient was a non-believer.
Investigation before condemnation would be a good way forward I believe.
Scientific validation of any Natural Healing protocol is hard to find for lack of the necessary funding to establish this; as a result, patients tend to rely on word-of-mouth testimony as the deciding factor in determining whether a Natural treatment protocol is worth the undertaking.
