dedicated moderator

I always thought that each forum had a permanent or dedicated moderator. Thanks for the education. It seems that it would be beneficial for rating the messages. IMO the ratings are really for surfers or new interested people. For that reason, I would think a dedicated moderator would be beneficial. I guess not too many want that job. Maybe only the very active forums have permanent ones; or forums that seem to have a lot of conflict or questionable behavior.
