I am asking the question because D. has changed the way moderating is handled and a few forums now have their own moderators. I don't have an assigned forum, so I rove the website. The problem is the few forums that have their own moderators..... some of these moderators aren't giving recognition like they should. I feel very strongly that if someone takes the time to share their story or give some great information, it deserves an "R."
D. has said we have 100 new moderators, but I keep asking where are they?? It seems to me it's still the same few moderators doing all the work. I don't mind because I love Curezone and I believe in Curezone. I just think if these moderators should be doing a better job.

This is a reply to # 949,056Whenever you click on "alert good message" or "alert bad message" it sends an E-MAIL to the moderator.
So, the more e-mails they get on a message, if they still ignore it, well. hmmm
So, as long as they are checking their e-mails, they cannot ignore this. In other words, if they don't have the time to actually read the forum, they should still know about the recommendations based upon whether or not they check their e-mails.

This is a reply to # 949,619My alerts quit working a LONG time ago. I have asked and asked why, but no response.
So, WHOEVER the moderator is on this forum, in their defense, they may not be receiving alerts. That is still no excuse for them not moderating this forum. I feel sorry for you guys who are contributing so much and nothing is being given recognition. It needs to go back the way it was with the same few moderators moderating all forums. That way, some recognition could be given to as many forums as we have time to read. I have asked, more than once, for a list of the new moderators, but I was told a lot of them wanted to remain anon. Now I know why! They don't want us to know when they are NOT doing their job.

This is a reply to # 949,625What I understood originally, when one person clicks on the alert button then the the button disappears so people can't do like 10 alerts, what we often had.
This morning I wanted to do an alert and I did not have the button, so I assumed someone else did it. I am watching that post and see if it is getting a rating.
I can accept when you click on a button, that you can't repeat it, but I don't like it when another person can't do the button too.- Re: Alerts - as a follow up hanna

This is a reply to # 949,647Did you see the post you mentioned, there is no alert message anymore, so someone must has clicked it.
I don't like this system, it is ok when someone only can click once, but other people still should be able to click too. It also gives the moderators a feeling how many people like the post.
It used to be that we got good alerts and bad alerts on the same post, so the moderators could carefully read the post before making a decision.

i don't know how all the mods feel, just found this one post about it. i guess every one of the 100 are going to be different, have no idea. but, i notice in many forums the attributes are either missing or too many or not enough. it's pretty crazy.

This is a reply to # 949,677I always thought that each forum had a permanent or dedicated moderator. Thanks for the education. It seems that it would be beneficial for rating the messages. IMO the ratings are really for surfers or new interested people. For that reason, I would think a dedicated moderator would be beneficial. I guess not too many want that job. Maybe only the very active forums have permanent ones; or forums that seem to have a lot of conflict or questionable behavior.- Re: dedicated moderator Aharleygyrl
