Hormones affected

I think I am on to the receptor locations which chemical metabolites from parasitic microbes attach. These receptor sites can cause alterations in appetite, sleep, stomach acid, saliva production, tears and sex drive. They also affect the immune-system esp. antibody and complement mechanisms.
I am sure that commensal bacteria are inextricably involved in the regulation of processes which maintain homeostasis of hormones and nuerotransmitters that affect these receptors. Shroom
