The gist of what I was trying to say is that the Celtic has been favored by many here and that others "also" have found Redmonds and Himalayan more palatable than any of the white sea salts. Redmonds has a light pinkish cast with little black specks here and there and the Himalayan is a translucent pink. Personally I did a side by side taste test with Celtic and Redmonds and I found for me the Celtic was mellower.
The half half method is what I alluded to in the second half of my post. Some do 8 oz for the first slam other do 12oz yet other do 16 oz. Many folks have found the split method to work well for them. Just experiment to find what works best for you as long as the final ratio works out to 2 tsp salt per 32 oz H2O
