Another quick question:

When is it best to take Metformin. My father was prescribed 1000 mg. to be taken after dinner. This does not make sense to me.

Wouldnt it be better to split the dose 500 mg at lunch and 500 mg dinner??

Also, wouldnt it be better to take it right before the first bite of the meal vs. after the meal when the stomach is full already?
