Re: diagram of common ducts

Hi Making tinctures is easy. You need some pure alcohol, large glass jar( and lid) and a blender. You put the dry herb mix in blender. (how much is up to you) then you need to cover herbs with about 60% of it with alcohol up the side of the jar. You blend for about one minute, but till most of herb is broken down. Then leave it in large glass jar in somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. then 30 days later ( no less) you strain it. (On the Healmakretplace they say you can shake the jar everyday and it can produce a stronger tincture.) I use muslin (as it is so thin) over a funnel and store it in brown glass bottle/s to use whenever you need it. Really squeeze all of it out. it can stain things so mind what you use. I choose to go by the lunar cycles in the belief that there is more pull ( or strenght) in when you pick the herb from the ground. The rule is on new moon MAKE the tincture, and then on FULL moon strain the mix. There is no specified shelf life, as these tinctures can be around for many years as the alcohol is such a stable medium to use. I try to use most of mine in 2-3 yrs to get the most out of it all and keep everything at max potency then renewing them every 2-3 yrs. hope this helps
