Re: who has pressured you to up your dose, Sanc?

Maybe it is not a who, but a what!

How many times do we discuss in detail the damage done by mercury fillings, fluoride in water, drugs and toothpaste; and bromine in everyd*** thing. Not to mention lead!
I feel the urge to get this stuff on out of me as soon as possible. It needs little encouragement for me to be bold - I have been unwell long enough.

- twinkling eyes - And there is this small matter of the paranoia that sometimes gets expressed here. Cannot imagine who that comes from... can you?? big grin

Seriously, there is support here for taking higher amounts of iodine. I certainly felt and feel that. But, direct pressure?? Not any I have seen.

The gift of the 'Boob Job' post is in reminding us all that a small, regular amount of Iodine over time is just as powerful in the ways that really matter.

I know I fall victim to the 'more is better' mirage. It is seductive. And many of the more vocal folks here seem to take larger amounts, me included.

I had the intention myself to lower my amount of Iodine only to get excited by someone's progress and take the higher amounts again.

One or two drops is plenty for so many people and that experience is as valuable as anyone's, as my own who began at 16 drops from day one. I am a writer so it gets recorded and the interpretation might be that there is more value in what I am doing. Or that it is somehow an example.
I certainly felt that when I read that Vulcanel was taking a gram a day for a while. Just like Madeline I wanted my appendix out, too.

We all want to be Iodine stars in some way, to contribute, to be involved.

I am so glad we are talking about this aspect of iodine supplementation. There is no rush, no push to hurry up and detox already. Each and every drop is a huge benefit to us. And healing is an organic process, as we are organic beings.

My perspective has shifted enormously this week. I have begun taking only 6 drops daily and I will continue at that level.
Wombat's post, lots of re-reading of the iodine doctors' reports and results have clarified this for me.
Taking iodine is not a war - it is essentially food/nourishment and we need a small amount daily.
