Every Marine carried the same weight. Cpl Mau-Mau my radioman may have carried a an extra ib or 2. Mau was/is 6'3" and 230 he still runs 3 miles every AM does 100 pushups and situps; retired from the Corp after 30yrs an E-8, got a commerical pilots license and hauls cargo for a living.
We did alot of counter insurgancey stuff, so we'd hump alot of kit into an area and operate very light from there, til it was time to move-on. Tweet
