In 1970, Begich was elected to the at-large seat for the state of Alaska. He served until a mysterious plane crash on October 16, 1972. Begich was in the process of campaigning during the crash. Also aboard were Representative Hale Boggs of Louisiana, and two others. All were presumed dead after an exhaustive 39-day search did not find any remains. The accident prompted Congress to pass a law mandating emergency locator transmitters (now called emergency position-indicating rescue beacons) in all U.S. civil aircraft.

During the period of the search, he was elected to a second term in the United States House. He was declared dead on December 29, 1972 at 40 years old and a special election was announced. Republican state senator Don Young won the election and took Begich's seat, and has held it ever since.

Nick Begich's son, Mark Begich, is the current mayor of Anchorage, Alaska.

(interesting side note - boggs was a member of the warren comission and some feel this had a part in his death. then president nixon was in dallas the night before the assassination meeting with LBJ and hoover and many others, including probably howard hunt and george bush senior)

nick senior has another son, obviously, nick jr. he is the author of the authoritative book on haarp - "angels dont play this haarp". if you have not read this book, you do not know the world you are living in. in it, he covers the patents let to a man named eastlund back in the 80s that covers a variety of interesting things that can be done with a system just like haarp. among these patents is the mechanism for ground penatrating radar.

you see, the coverage of this mining disaster has cointelpro written all over it. cnn tried to vilify the mining company saying that no earthquake caused the cave in but that it was greedy mining practices. they had experts saying the earthquake signature(which i spent a couple of years studying) was too long in duration and that it was registering the collapse itself. fooey.

and then there is finding the trapped miners themselves. i know for a fact that the gov has ground penetrating technology and they know exactly where they are and if they are alive. but to maintain the status quo and to keep our enemies(who like to hide underground) in the dark, they cannot reveal this technology by helping these poor men trapped underground, if they are still alive. nick begich's book outlines this technology, a technology that is old and certainly operational as haarp has been for some time now.

and speaking of begich, what of nick senior and the connection between his disappearance/death and the mining incident?

well, that situation was quite similar at the time and was revealed to nick jr years later. a person came to him in anonymity and showed him the pictures taken by satellite at the time of the plane crash of his dad and hale boggs. these pictures clearly showed the plane crash, the location of the crash, and the signatures of three of the four people on board walking away from the plane. thats right, there were survivors of that crash. and they knew it at the time. but because the technology was secret, the information could not be revealed and the search went on without any of these modern miracles of Science as an aid.

so as you watch the news of this event unfold, remember my words and know that no matter how it turns out, our government already knew exactly how it would come down. they know a lot more than they let on. and why not? an informed public is a powerful public. we cant have that, now can we? there would be no military industrial complex. there would be no health care system. there would be no investment portfolios bulging with pharmaceuticals and heavy manufacturing and goverment technology stocks. there would be no masses struggling to get by and hocking their houses to buy toys and poison food from china. and the people would grow older and wiser still. what a nightmare for them that would be.
