Re: 24 LF's, lots of exercise, no weight loss. Why?

According to BMI charts, my optimum weight is about 143. I'm about that now. Feb 2006 I weighed about 170 and looked like a beach ball on a stick. July 2006 still weighed about 163. Not much progress at all despite diet and exercise. Made a few changes. Eliminated sugar! No soft drinks. No midnight snacks. Cut way back on carbohydrates - bread, pasta, potatoes. Limited meat (but definitely not a vegetarian) AND made sure I had my 8 glasses of water a day. Three weeks after that decision, I went under 160 for the first time in along time. I had regressions. But, overall it's been a steady decline. Lower highs and lower lows. Currently and only recently begun, I fast one day a week followed by a salt water flush. Other tweaks to what I do, but that got me jump started.
