Please help!! I am freaking out!

I am a woman and I had sex with a woman the other night. When we woke-up the next morning we had sex again and I noticed afterwards that she had a cold sore on her face between her lips and her chin! I asked her about it and she said that she gets cold sores when she eats alot of citrus. She said she also gets the other kind of cold sores (herpes) and that this was not one of the contagious herpes cold sores! She assured me she knows the difference and is very careful when she gets the other kind and not to worry.

Well, I am worried. I understand that any kind of cold sore is herpes and if she went down on me with this cold sore I could very likely have the virus now.

I am going to get tested soon, but in the meantime I would really appreciate ANY/ALL feedback!

Is there a safe cold sore caused from eating citrus vs. a contagious herpes cold sore or are they the same?
