Re: eczema in baby
I have two children, 5 and 2.5 years old. Both of my children's skin is different. Madison, my 2.5 years old, had eczema. She has had it since birth, I have tried so many things, and now she is older I have a system that I use to help her through her outbreaks. It only takes about 5 days to clear up and outbreak. I have never had to use steroids on her because we have keeped it to a minimum since birth.
Bathtime: She gets a bath once a week, sometimes two times a week and when the bath time is over I let her "air dry", then I have a special mixture of lotions and creams, that I have put together myself, that I lather her up with, I again let her "air dry", then apply again then when its almost dry again I put her clothes back on.
It took me a long time to find the right mixture for her skin, but it works like a charm. Clears up the outbreaks in 5 days or less. Its worth trying on your child, but since she is so young you might have to try different mixtures yourself to see what will work for her.
Bedtime: I usually put on a good lather of the "maddy" mixture again, let it air dry, then apply again. I usually only have to apply the cream when the outbreaks are bad and she's itchy, but that happens not to ofter any more. I use to have to give her benadryl once a night before bed when she was younger, but not anymore.
I hope that the information was helpful to you and your little one, if you want the mixture info just mail me and I can give it to you. Good luck!
