Re: Is this schizophrenia or some form of it?
HI, thanks a lot for your response. Really informative! Absolutely the brain is another organ and gets sick like any other organ. I agree completely and always feel that it's really a "physical" illness, because the brain is part of the body. And drugs to treat someone "mentally" do not always work and as you said can make one worse. Yes! Because often it puts more toxic load on an already possibly toxic mind/body.
I feel that anything that can go wrong, even slightly can muck up the fine balance inside this organ and of course it's the worse organ for that to happen!! Thank you, I too believe it maybe paranoid schizophrenia and it is helpful to have others give their view and experience also. Yes, seeing these people as completely functioning human beings and then knowing something in this organ has been messed up in some way to where normal responses and feelings are somehow distorted, which so often leads to disasterous results.
I also feel that physical toxicities may also have the ability to cause schizophrenic symptoms. I myself have had toxic issues and have had horrific mental symptoms and odd behaviours and thoughts which I felt I was just not in control of. I was often fearful for no reason, had strange thought patterns and was a wreck. Of course, this was put down to being just "mental" and you get councelling or medication or both. Finally when I was put on a proper diet, excluding many toxic things/junk food, sugars etc. Interesting that one of the side effects from such a diet was the lessening of these awful thoughts. I mean they literally disappeared!!!! wow, that I never expected, which then told me clearly that my mind was sick because my body was sick.
Doesn't always work that way of course, but often it does and is so typically overlooked. What a tragedy. How many suffer mentally because they are ill? I wonder..I have heard such things as mercury poisoning, candida and other issues having the ability to alter the way the mind works and causing many symptoms that could be associated with mental illnesses. I dont doubt this, I've had it myself!
Anyway, I really appreciate your comments and kind words and the links! Thanks, I will look into that.
