Re: The vegan way??? Let's quantify the animal meat involved

Doc,

I've been on a vegan and fruits majority raw diet for 3 months and I'm thriving on it so far. So are my kids 2,3 and 6 I've been following the PH Miracle by Dr. Robert Young as my guide to alkalizing.

I think we should quantify what those who defend animal meat eating are saying.

Like percentage volume, frequency, % acid in diet, non-organic meats, poor handling of decaying carcass, style of cooking, combining animal meat with carbs.

The problem I see with those justifying eating non-organic diseased animal meat is they have no sense of moderation. They would eat animal meat 3x per day, every day, 365 days a year. Now that is absolutely NOT moderation. I see moderation as Dr Young's 2 meals per month with fish. As for my children, I know that my wife, relatives or grandparents will always attempt to slip a piece of fish or two when I'm not around. Good thing I'm the hands on parent.

There are many factors regarding vegan or raw done right. A 100% cooked vegan is a disaster. Or vegan without consuming oils like flax oil, olive oil, coconut oil. Or instant vegans who make no transitions whatsoever. Or vegans who consume tiny amounts of food they are always hungry. Or vegans who have no variety. Or vegans who consume non-organic, pesticide laden garbage. Or vegans who consume only vegetables and zero fruits.

We are constantly monitoring ourselves and discovering new things, what works, what we like, what we are thriving on, the variety we eat.

I've heard of those vegan horror stories too from my respectable anthroposophic doctor. I think those are the unthinking robotic people making rigid wrong vegan choices. I think everyone is different, our bodies, the foods available to us in our area, town, or country and our current states of health.

So yes, some people will have to turn to meat if their vegan resources can't give them all the nutrition they need.

In my case, I've substituted many vegan sources to replace animal meat. Vegan sources are raw, alive, cleaner and with less probability of contamination and decay / processing downsides.
