Re: The vegan way???
The vegetarian way may sound philosophically correct, or be theoretically correct but my experience with it tells me otherwise. Plus, the life statistics of the vegetarians are NOT favorable. They die younger, have many, many more health issues, they are structurally unstable, and their kids are constantly sick. The only two sucessful vegetarians I know are Barefoot and Dr. Schulze.
Of course being a chiropractor I've met many vegetarians over the years. The biggest problem I have with them is they just simply will not stay mechanically correct. Their adjustmenats don't hold. They are pale, weak and look emaciated. They seem to be prone to any little virus or bug that's going around and their kids are always sick. And fragile.
Plus, I've tried it several times over the years. It made me weak, and I couldn't get enough food and in general put me in a foul mood. Which probably doesn't count because I tried it before I got rid of the parasites.
So, whatever Barefoot or Schulze are doing it seems to be working for them but what I've seen over the years it doesn't seem to work for most people and the stats don't favor it.
When I was sick I studied the various societies on the planet that routinely live to be over 100 years old. Most of them ate the entire animal, not just the meat part. What is referred to as organ meats. Back in the old west the cook used to throw the organ meats in with the beans. Throw some calves brains in with the potatoes or beans. Nowdays it's the saugages that have the organ meats in them. Hot dogs, lunchmeat, pepperoini, etc.
Plus, take a look at nature. Don't try to tell a Cheetah, or lion or even my cat squeeks to eat their vegetables. And yet cows and horses are pure vegetarians but notice they require considerably more organs and colon to process their food.
My experience in life tell me it's not wise to be a vegetarian. However, there are a few people that it works for. Most peoples digestive system needs a break. A good fast does wonders for folks. But as far as being a total vegetarian I don't see it work very often and I don't advise it. Sorry Barefoot and Schulze.
For sure diet is important so experimant with it. A good general rule is: Eat what makes you feel better the next day. Some poeple can eat very little meat others can live on it.
I think one of the things people miss about diet in general is what kind of mood you're in when you eat. Perhaps that's why a little bit of wine is good for your digestion. It puts you in a better mood. But if you hate your mate and the kids are driving you crazy dinnertime isn't a pleasant experience. That HAS to effect your digestion and consequently your health. So keep the love flowing especially when you eat. Let the peace manifest. Your health will improve thereof.
