Re: how to lower blood pressure???

Yes, my Mother has extremely high blood pressure and was either going to be put on medication or she would have to change her diet. The worst things for her were sugar, bad fats like hardened vegetable oils/trans fats etc. She had to literally cut Sugar out of her diet, - donuts, cakes, cookies, sweets, the lot. Making basically healthy food choices as much as possible. Unfortunately high blood pressure for Mum is a tendency in our family, so it's a weakness and my Aunt has opted for medication, mum hasn't yet. Migraines are often associated with high blood pressure. Mum has cut down on migraines since she has lowered her blood pressure, as has my Auntie with medication. I would try the natural way ;-)

Best things for her she found were vegetables (raw especially, steamed etc), fish (make sure it's low in mercury or take fish oil instead (make sure it's a pure brand like blue ice, nordic naturals, etc), plenty of garlic, onions, and tomatoes etc. Raw nuts (peanuts and cashews may not be the best) preferably almonds, brazil, etc And making sure you replace bad fats with healthier ones like extra virgin olive oil. Butter may also be ok, since it contains vitamin and other nutrients and is not unnatural like margarine. Flaxseed oil can be nice mixed into yoghurt/cottage cheese. Proteins are ok too, eggs, meat, etc, but often get a bad rap, but the culprits are normally Sugar and hardened vegetables oils/trans fats, white flour and too many high carbs. Those are the things that tend to cause overweight (or even underweight) because they rob the body of needed nutrients, cause the body to store fat, encourage yeast overgrowth, clog arteries and of course high blood pressure.

Again I am only passing on what seemed to help Mum. But it would be much wiser to get yourself tested for it by a professional, rather than guess. But again, sometimes you can show high blood pressure when you are a bit nervous (getting tested) so you may not get a fully accurate result. I've had it go both ways lol.

Of course good exercise like walking (rebounding). Not overdoing it though. She found that simply excluding all the toxic stuff and eating healthy tended to allow the body to come back into more balance. But again she makes sure she gets tested periodically to make sure things are still "ok". an indicator for her is an increase in ongoing migraines again...usually when she starts getting back into the bad foods like cookies etc. I think moderation is the key, but again if you have things serious enough you may simply have to completely exclude them for the most part.
