Fierce reactions
Ok. I'm not trying to scare anyone away. It's always been the case with my powerfully strong immune system. It is so powerful that I can't even take any drug for more than 3 days without becoming immune. That is probably good. On the bad side, is that it overreacts to any change and gives me allergies; always in my sinuses and intestines. In other words, I'm probably the only person in the whole world that would have such reactions as I'm about to say.
So, I've been taking a little more than 100mg of
Lugol's daily. No noticeable detox symptoms as expressed by many others. My sinuses and constipation have been bad for as long as I can remember; and that's several decades. Nothing to do with iodine. The only benefit I've noticed is nice long sleep periods. Also vivid dreams occasionally becoming lucid. I guess that's a benefit.
This has been disappointing. I was expecting help on several things. I just figured that I would keep adding drops until something happened and back down slowly to maintenance dosage. I also figured that
Iodine would stop any infection anywhere in the body. After all, within some period of use, all tissue and organs would benefit with
Iodine as a weapon.
Two nights ago, I woke up to something I have absolutely never encountered before. My kidneys and my liver felt inflamed. Not temperature. They felt similar to the acid reflux feeling. As if there was just far too much acid for them to handle. No change in diet. No increase in
Iodine for a week. Nothing unusual; such as stress. First it was painful enough to make me have to get up and try to think of what I might have in the house to help. All I could think of was baking soda; so, I took a 1/4 teaspoon in a glass of water. That helped within 30 minutes. The worry did not help. It never does.
I decided at that time to take a 3 day break of iodine. I haven't decided what dosage I should start back with.
Went back to bed. When I woke up, I thought I had an infected tooth or infected sinuses causing some teeth to feel like I had taken Novocain. You know the feeling? That's never happened before either. I don't think it is an infected tooth; because, it has moved a little more to the front teeth. Maybe it still is a tooth or jaw instead of sinus. My mucus is not colored and my sinuses are not badly congested any more than normal.
The point is that there should not be any infection at all; or certainly not lasting. That's why I'm disappointed. I understand inflammation. That's a reaction of the immune system; but infection should not happen on this much iodine per day. And this is worse than I'm ever experienced. No vitamin, mineral, or salt loading has helped; but I still suspect that the iodine therapy has finally kicked something nasty into the forefront.
Now I just have to figure how to start back after a 3 day layoff.
