Thoughts on SiCKO, healthcare and Michael Moore

Yes, and no matter what the pols over here in the colonies would tell us, Breat Britain is hardly a socialist country! No one should be denied healthcare, no one!

Now, on to Michael Moore and SiCKO:

Moore does a good job of exposing problems, albeit from a very slanted and self-aggrandizing angle. Too bad Moore looked no farther than simply finding another issue he could sensationalize and use to puff up his inflated self-image even larger than his waistline. If he were to expose the true problem of how the managed illness industry prevents true health care, I would march hand in hand with him on the issue.

Mainstream medicine does a wonderful job of treating physical trauma and injuries (repairing broken parts) and no one should be denied such care. Under the control of the Big Pharma masters, mainstream medicine does not even have a system of "health care" when it comes to chronic disease and illness - instead offering a lifetime of toxic drugs and a lessened quality of life in a "managed sickness" industry.

No matter whether it is the present system or a more socialized system like you see in Great Britain and Canada, as long as the treatment and medication choices are primarily those of mainstream medicine and access to alternatives are restricted, when it comes to treating non-injury health issues we are only arguing about access to managed illness and not access to health care.
