Re: cross-species food

Its always a very lively intercourse if you ask a group of friends if they would go up to a UFO hanging somewhere
with a beam shining down...That might be a real leap of faith and one cannot help but wonder what species we might face.

Prophetic words, in deed. As far as lively intercourse goes, there is a kind of lively conversation  that has been about as lively as I've ever had the opportunity to observe. It tends to follow in those kinds of circles where brands of faith, if you will, have been finely honed down through the ages to contain, among other passages, quite specific chapter and verse that, regardless of which variation...version...author...publisher...manufacturter one choses to get their faith from, is generally believed to be "the rapture". From what I gather, this could be one of those "rapture mileage may vary" from one faith to the next, but the gist of the idea as some have it is, this portends to be not at all unlike the UFO scenario dangling in a dark sky. For those who may have failed at becoming a dogged, dogmatic adherant of such, who can say what kind of species lurks up there to confront, capture and harvest those who eagerly ascend such a ladder? Looks can be deceving. Faiths can be deceiving. That kind of bright light may not be natural or benevolent in origin.  In view of an old saying "you may well get what you deserve", those who have decided to just bide their time on the sidelines while passively watching the world go by, just waiting to be raptured, may well find out. Meanwhile, still waiting to hear from the Hale Bop passengers. Is it too much to hope that those so harvested will at least be permitted  to send on occasion, telepathically if needs be, us earth bound inhabitants a post card? This may be irrelevant. From what I've been told, we who opt to remain behind may be too preoccouped gnashing our teeth while burning forever in a lake of fire.
