Re: cross-species food
The proverbial "they" pay people a lot more money
than I may perhaps ever see in my lifetime to engage
in mental intercourse in what they call "think tanks"
and from my point of view, it is neither about money
nor even survival. It is about power. The same old
story of Cain and Able.
Perhaps it is the nature of this planet to promote
chaos and separation.
My kid asked me when she was young and we were
watching the first gulf war unfold on television,
"when will war stop??". I told her, honestly, I
did not think it would stop until we either chose
to "unlearn" war, and choose to beat our weapons
into ploughshares and such, or that we would wipe
ourselves out.
I'd lay odds but still hope there is a cosmic ace
up some sleeve somewhere and that as improbable as
it seems maybe good does trump evil. Of course, on
a bad day, I think I am wrong...ggg.
About cabbages and kings and mutations, we have
most likely already mutated and our food is a
part of the problem and who knows what kind of
creature, human or otherwise, may contribute to
our demise or our salvation. Its always a very
lively intercourse if you ask a group of friends
if they would go up to a UFO hanging somewhere
with a beam shining down...
That might be a real leap of faith and one cannot
help but wonder what species we might face.
Good luck getting Gore or anyone to round up
those hiding the Genie and trying to corral it
back into a box, bottle, or mental constraint.
Mind you, I love the thought of a world living
in perfection. Maybe for who we are, it is. If
we keep eating the schlock, it may look better
and better.
If you ever watch movies, "Idiocracy" with Luke
Wilson was a political comedy but also a satire
where people in the future are so dumbed down
that no one can function. Its only two years
old and yet seemed like a signpost for where
we are heading if we do not get our minds jump
started. Who can do that?? Hard to tell, but I
keep an eye open...and pray that I can keep
healthy so that the numbed and dumbed look does
not glaze my eyes shut to what small portion of
reality I had discerned for myself.
hoping for the best,
Zoe
