Some think is it too much on the body (which is it not) and some like to have you make many trip in order to make extra money. In any case, yes, you are correct, the hospital will most likely not know how to properly pull and clean a root canal. They also need a certificate in N.I.C.O. to do the procedure, because root canals create cavitations. If you get your root canal pulled, you will have some relief (if it is bothering you), but it is a short-term thing, it will continue to grow bacteria in there until it is properly cleaned.
