Re: Body absorbs 5lb of make-up chemicals a year
Garlic odor after absorption mileage is possibly like many others - may vary. In the past I've known a few exceptional fans of eating garlic. One night I had dinner with a couple and the topic came up. She was a big garlic fan, he was not. Hubby confirmed to the extent that after wife ate an italian dinner laden with garlic, for the next day or so he would notice garlic aroma coming from her pores and breath too, even after brushing teeth and gargling. If a person can consume/absorb garlic, and later it can be smelled coming off their sweat or breath, it does not seem out of the question a similar effect can result when it enters the body from the feet.
By the way, smearing a clove or two of garlic across the bottoms of the feet is nature's equivalent to a dose of strong anti-biotic, and especially helpful for calming a bad infection or high fever.
BT30, you might consider that any two bodies may be similar but not identical, so it should not surprise that hubby got the after effect smell/taste but you did not. Maybe your sense of taste/smell is not as strong as his? Maybe your body did not absorb/process the garlic from feet to the same extent....maybe your circulation is not identical.... stuff like that.
