My first suggestion would be to take it slow and not be too anxious to do too much too soone. Rome, nor your body, were built overnight and it can be dangerous trying to do too much too soon. Instead of trying to detox and cleanse your entire body overnight, it would be better to take a more deliberate approach.
The more toxins you release, the more taxed your liver will become and, if you have had a less than healthy lifestyle, it may already be impaired - so that leads me to my second suggestion: take measures to protect and regenerate your liver. At the very least, I would suggest considering the three anti-oxidants used in the Berkson Clinical Study: milk thistle (silymarin), alpha-lipoic acid and selenium.
Another suggestion would be to find yourself a qualified professional caregiver, one who is well versed in cleansing and de-toxing with a following who will attest to their success and skills. Think of them as your wellness coach who can help you set and reach goals and monitor your progress and health.
As far as cleanses and detoxes, there are any number of good ones to be had for kidneys, liver, colon, heavy metals, etc. I personally use products from the Utopia Silver Company that I work with as a consultant because I know and trust them. I am very high on Jon Barron's Baseline Nutrition products. There are many other good ones, and many knowledgeable people here at CureZone know the subject better than I.
Personally, I would (and have done so) include a period of colloidal silver - it is quite deadly for pathogens of all kinds and single cell organisms. However, it does not discriminate between good and bad intestinal bacteria - so one should be sure and supplement with a good pro-biotic (and that should be the case after a cleanse/detox, regardless of whether silver is used).
Some tips for continued weight loss and continued cleansing and de-tox:
Drink a tall glass of pure water before each meal and consume one glass with your meal.
Chew each bite at least 30 times so that food is more fully digested. You will find this helps keep undigested food from building up in the body and also helps you fill up with less food, since it slows down how quickly you eat a meal and allows your body time to signal that it is full.
Drink another glass of water between meals along with a healthy snack to keep cravings at bay and portion sizes smaller at the following meal.
Supplement with plant derived minerals. Most overeating is due to our body not getting the proper nutrition it craves in the poor choice of foods we eat - which is why we can eat junk food, fast food and food off the grocers shelves and never feel satisfied no matter how much we eat.
Fast for one day each week and alternate the kinds of fasts you do. One week might be a one day Dr. Johanna Brandt grape cure fast (nothing but dark grapes, seeds and all), the next week a water fast, the following week juiced veggies and fruit only, and the next week only watermelon. Each of those fasts helps cleanse and detox, has specific health benefits and helps keep weight controlled. One huge benefit will be the extra years and good health you add to your life.
Exercise a bit each day. It need not be strenuous and you can start off very, very modestly. Every extra trip up and down the stairs helps, as does parking at the far end of the lot at the grocers. Devoting a half hour per day can add many years, even a decade or more, of good health to your life. And the release of pherimones, endorphines and feel-good hormones such as dopamine will have you feeling happier with your life and not seeking pleasure through food.
I hope you find the information helpful. Remember, nothing is as good as a qualified professional well versed in natural healing who can work with you in person.
