I have had enough, thank you.
Remove me from your list of Moderators. I made it perfectly clear during the "Moderator Elections" that I did not wish to be a Moderator, particularly considering the utterly inappropriate contact that I received from another Moderator during the "election" process which was reported and never acknowledged or remedied.
I wish to surrender my membership ID for Curezone.com. I have had enough of the intense negativity that I've witnessed and been involved in. At least, when I made an error in judgment, I had the common sense and courtesy to make a public apology stating exactly WHAT I had been guilty of doing and not just offering a vague nod of the virtual head.
When I first found Curezone.com, I was thrilled to "meet" other people who were in search of answers and willing to share their experiences and knowledge. I was new to taking control of my own health, but I had plenty of experience in other areas and made an effort to share those few things that I knew while I was trying to learn from others. For a brief time, I felt that I had found a virtual place where I would be encouraged to learn and teach and where every member was valued, even if personalities clashed - that feeling began a slow death-spiral in March, 07.
In the 7 months that I've been a member (lurked for quite a bit longer than that), I have seen this site dissolve into chaos, personal rancor between member factions, and there is absolutely NO TRAINING FOR, or POLICING OF, Moderator activities. Nor, are members/moderators who deliberately cause harm to other members held accountable for their actions and required to apologize. The only requirement that I had to meet to become a Moderator was to visit a specific site that only "taught" the technical aspects of moderating. There was no "training" on proper conduct (just vague suggestions), ruled of moderator conduct, or ramifications for anyone who broke those rules. I feel like an absolute fool for recommending this site to so many people and it's no wonder that many of them politely told me that it just didn't meet their expectations.
If you were truly interested in maintaining the integrity of this site to "Educating Instead of Medicating," you would have placed a temporary halt to all Moderator activity, developed some sort of training, and insisted that any Moderator who breaks the rules of conduct would be stripped of their status and/or banned from the site, according to the nature of their infraction, regardless of their length of membership. Instead, you held a site-wide Moderator Election that deteriorated into a popularity contest, and tossed the new Moderators out into the fray without the benefit of any EMOTIONAL training, whatsoever.
I have had enough of the negativity and inaccountability. I'll find my answers elsewhere and, if the opportunity arises, share what little experience that I have to others who are in emotional turmoil.
To all of those who helped me find a better path, I offer my most sincere and heartfelt appreciation. To those who are so consumed with their lust for control, I offer my most sincere and heartfelt pity.
