does anyone know where i can find research on the MC?
or some scientific data on why it is not harmful to u to be putting all that maple syrup and lemon juice in u for an extended period of time? my brother has been very discouraging of my doing this, saying i'm putting myself in danger and i'm gonna be decrepit and dying when he comes to see me in a couple wks! i'm getting very frustrated hearing people around me, especially my own family questioning me about this in a condescending and ignorant way. i know it's a great thing i'm doing for my body, and i'm actually really proud of myself for going 14 days so far, and counting! it'd just be great to have something i can direct them to or i can print from the internet that might provide some factual info for the skeptics out there, and to inform myself so i'll have more of a defense prepared next time! my bro says he has a problem w/ putting that much fructose into his system w/o anything else...i didnt think it was fructose i was taking in, but i guess it could be. verbatim, he also said "So far it looks like the fast is ok as long as you don’t do any salt water, your potassium levels stay up, and you don’t get up too quickly to cause yourself to pass out...I still can’t find any real research that’s been done on the fast for more than a year or 2, so I’m still skeptical. I think it’s too new to the modern medical world. They may have been doing it for thousands of years or whatever, but no one actually put research into it. I also have a problem with putting that much fructose into my body with nothing else, seeing as they’ve found fructose to cause all sorts of problems, but mostly in younger, undeveloped kids. Plus, taking yourself off the fast will be difficult and your body will want to store everything. There are also questions as to what the huge change in bacterial makeup of your intestines will do to you."
any ideas on a comeback to all of that??
