Re: Canada not so good really
Thats an excellant post, thanks.
I would agree that the USA's cancer industry is 'creating cancers' and doing nothing to prevent them and steer patients towards the most expensive treatments that may not be the most appropriate treatment for them.
However, I might have to disagree about the rosy picture of Canadian cancer treatment though. Its really not much different than the USA's. We have only had a media story that tells of the research that showed the big decrease in cancers for people taking more Vit D that the recomended 400 units per day.
There is no program to get more Vit D into people or anything like that. If you asked 1000 Canadians about Vit D, only 2 of them would say "oh ya, that media story about taking more Vit D". The health professionals here are not serouis about this discovery being put into practise; it was more likely that this story HAD to run or it would look bad, and the cancer industry [mainstream medicine] hopes everyone will just forget about it soon.
And, for people with cancers, there are still only the basic mainstream choices for chemo or being cut [pills or surgery].
When the story ran about Vit E being more effective and better that HEPARIN, it was forgotten, and never put into practise. When we discovered the "ultimate herbal mixture for diabetis prevention" [Albertas' University research], there was a legal battle that is still going on about publishing the results. It was never put into practise either. And so on....
But at least Canada did run the story, and that was enough to put the USA cancer industry to task, as you have done. I get your point, I just want to make sure you all know that Canada's health care is allways going to be much like the USA's, because of the corporate influences. Profits before health...
