Re: That's just CRAAAAZYY!

Yet those of us who like to stick to facts are at a severe disadvantage when debating quacks.   I don't have the luxury of making up stuff to support my position.   This self-imposed integrity and commitment to facts takes much more time, a hjuckster like you on the other hand is not hindered by the truth or bothered by scientific evidence.  I rely on facts and unlike some people I won't pull out claims out of my ass just to respond.

The foolish notion that modern medicine is killing people is totally unjustified, and refuted by all studies." is correct.  The Starfield study highlights deaths from human error and a deeper understanding of drug response and toxicity.  The same kind of errors that cause car accidents, start wars, crash planes, human errors, both trivial and catastrophic So aside from the non-error drug related deaths on the whole what we get from the study is that Errors kill people not medicine.   Something we already knew.

You claim that only 200 deaths are attributed to natural medicine is false.  It conveniently ignores the people that die while taking natural medicine.  They don't die from the med, but the die from the disease.   Disease that under modern medical care would give the person a much better chance of recovery.   So we should attribute all those deaths to natural medicine as well.  BTW natural cures are ineffective for anything serious.  They have limited
 pharmacological value.

According to WHO there are almost
1) 4 000 000 deaths from vaccine preventable diseases
2)  2 500 000 women die in childbirth because they don't have access to medical care.   Something women in North America faced until relatively recent.
3) 2 000 000 from tuberculosis which is treatable in most cases

And of course the extra years of life that we have been steadily gaining for the past 100 years thanks to the advancements of medicine and the application of that knowledge to public policy.

What you offer is moronic dogma, you won't change your mind no matter what advances are made or what new things are discovered.  It is the road of eternal stupidity.  The very strength of science lies in the fact than nothing is held sacred and that all truths are accepted as the best possible truths for now.  It is the ever changing quality that makes it far superior to everything your could possibly offer.

I am correct as labelling Hippocrates as a lousy doctor, he was.   It may have impressed those of his time, but any 1st year medical student surpasses him in knowledge and effectiveness.   That is the objective point of view, one not hindered by nostalgia.
