A healthy mind leads to healthy body. I think that the problem with evaluating stress is that it's subjective. However, everyone can agree that stress definitely worsens chronic medical conditions like hypertension, diabetes, probably cancers. It's just hard to measure objectively. Also, there is PLENTY of business exchanging hands in terms of alleviating stress. From the allopathic side it's therapists and psychiatrists and relaxation techniques, etc., and from the alternative side it's energy therapy and self help books and acupunture and massage, etc. I would argue that there is a HUGE business right now in regards to stress and stress management because it really does have a huge impact on overall health.
