How do I get my 1yr old daughter to like her toothbrush?

Ok, so when I try to brush her teeth, she just screams at the top of her lungs, and crys so hard that she can't catch her breath and almost vomits. I have tried to let her play with it, but she will only chew and play with the wrong end, and when I flip it around to show her the other end she freaks out and crys again.
I have no clue on how to get her to like the tooth brush and for us to make this a smooth thing! anyone have any ideas or hints?
pleaseeee I will try almost anything!
