All I can say is that it was literally a LIFE SAVER for me! I had been on the pill since I was 15.. suffered TERRIBLE Migraines while on the pill. Then had a series of mini strokes that almost Killed me.. I was taken off ALL meds of any sort to be safe.. During a visit for my annual I talked with my gyno about BC.. I had my son at 19 just 2 weeks shy of my 20th.. Tried the Depo.... HATED IT! I wound up being treated for Depression and went into a premature form or menopause... At 24 We decided to try Mirena as they would NOT put me on any form of BC due to my past.. i had NOT ONE issue with it.... Got it inserted the day my period started and the very next day my period was gone.. That was March of 02' No period SINCE.. of course I just had it removed this year and due to health insurance have to wait to see what will be covered.. But... It is definately going to be different for everyone as is the pill... Note; I am NOT and never have been a smoker, no history of stroke in my family and pretty much all of the females in my family have been on BC with no issues.. So it is going to be different for us all..

I would absolutely reccomend getting it.. But that is only because of my experience..
I also suffer from Endometriosis.. The initial reason for the BC pill and while on Mirena, the hormone relased kept it at Bay.. Another Reason it saved me...
