Re: Acne and problem skin at 30
The fact that your
Acne is mainly on your cheeks & chin, sounds simular to mine. my
Acne is caused from high cortizol levels. you might get tested by an endocrinologist. these high levels which are triggered by stress, diet, lack of sleep & who knows what else can be hard to regulate. my endocrinologist had me on a low dosage of cortizol, which he said had no side effects at .25 mg a day. he said that when your body releases cortizol, 2 hormones are released into your body with it. these hormones are what cause your oil glands to overproduce and cause hair to grow, that may be why you break out mainly on your cheeks and chin. the cortizol treatment worked on my cortizol levels and my acne, but i developed
Depression as a result of the medication. bad enough to make me stop my treatment. my
Depression subsided, the
Acne returned. you may respond differently than i did. after years of my own reseach, i have found many links between cortizol, adrenal, liver, blood
Sugar levels. in this case acne is a symptom.
