A couple of questions come to mind.....

I had no idea that chlorine was involved in digestion. Would I be right in assuming that the notion of Iodine aiding digestion has some validity then...does Iodine function in the same fashion...or act as a replacement for chlorine.

Recently I have been researching Niacin and found that many conclude it aids digestion by some as yet unknown mechanism. Could it be simply stress reduction.....perhaps causing more circulation within the digestive system....effectively raising the interactions of the elements necessary for digestion. As an acid, the dosage necessary for me to get a mild burning is about 10% of what HCL would take. Perhaps there is some other mechanism of action going on..........
