some do view doctors as priests, true, and this gets them into trouble. they cant imagine defying the orders of a priest.

you said "Those who promote practices that have no proven statistical efficacy versus doing nothing, are false prophets" - again, i disagree. they are just wrong, they are not prophets or false prophets, they are incorrect thats all. they may have convinced themselves they are actually right, or they may just be going along for the money, either way they are just wrong.

as Jesus said, it is not what goes into one's mouth that defiles a man, it is what comes out that does true damage. a big mac cannot defile your soul, but hateful words directed at another person can.
