Thank you for responding! It was never my intention to go fully raw, but I noticed that cooked food make me feel heavy, gross and constipated too, even if it was just steamed vegetables or baked squash. My digestion is obviously very weak. I do best when just eating fruits, but my body craves vegetables and protein. Raw vegetables I digest better, though not perfectly (bloated) and I can't consume them in large amounts at all. What sort of bitter herbs? Do you mean like Swedish Bitters? I have never heard of ginger coated salt?
I have no idea if the nuts are pre-soaked in the case of nut butters (do they even need to be pre-soaked in that case?), and the raw bars I eat occasionally usually say "sprouted" flaxseeds or whatever is in them. The LaraBars don't say anything about sprouting, but seeing as it's a reputable company I would assume they do...
