Re: A different focus point
Hi, Mike
Yes! You've intuitively connected to a very expansive technique!
It is our emotion, as well as thoughts, that are a carrier of our energy. We can have a positive thought/intention but a strong negative emotion can override that intention!
I really like this technique to use with new experiences. I know there is at least one new one that old fears creep up on. I have been releasing it (the fear), then invoking feelings of confidence, compitence and wisdom into the scene.
How do I do that? Imagine a time when I feel confident, compitent and wise. Imagine a time when these feelings are primary: there is no question I am being confident, compitent and wise. Then superimpose, if you will, that into the new action/experience.
I have felt my energy rise and don't feel the same trepidation. And guess what? I have been experiencing this new experience but don't feel the same apprehension. I am much more open to awareness to experience confidence, compitence and wisdom.
More on this technique that I am *really* coming to utilize is this...Experience the *feeling* of what you want *now*. Bring it into your life *now*.
A simple example: one may want to spend some time with nature, let's say at a beautiful park. And they know it will really lift their spirits and reconnect. Yet, they wouldn't be able to go until some later time. Find a way to experience the feeling of being at a park as soon as possible. Maybe it is simply going outside and breathing fresh air, maybe it is sitting in some grass, hearing one bird sing...etc. This will help draw the fuller experience to you as well. Through your powerful feeling, you are more successfully drawing that experience to you.
Thanks for sharing this with us, Mike!
